Kwanda Mngonyama ruled out of SA U-23 friendly with Tunisia

Posted: 7 September 2015 Time: 12:48

South Africa U-23 captain Kwanda Mngonyama has been ruled out of today's friendly with Tunisia with a sprained ankle.

The Maritzburg United defender sustained the knock in the 4-0 win over Les Eigles de Carthage last Friday.

Coach Owen da Gama has consequently handed the armband to Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Keagan Dolly for the game, starting at 17h00.

Da Gama's team, who return to South Africa on Wednesday, are using the trip to prepare for the 8 Nations Tournament, taking place in Senegal from November 28 to December 18.

The top three finishers at the continental event will qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
