David Zulu set for ankle operation

Posted: 2 September 2015 Time: 19:32

David Zulu is set to undergo an ankle operation, but Morgan Gould is back in full training.

The centre-back is back in action after rupturing his Achilles tendon in April and will now push the likes of Erick Mathoho and Siyanda Xulu for a place in the starting XI.

Goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo will go for a scan on 11 September to assess the broken bones in his hand, while defender Daniel Cardoso will go for another X-ray to see the progress on his shin injury.

Zulu has a torn ankle ligament and will undergo an operation on Friday, while Philani Cele and Simphiwe Mtsweni will wear their moon boots for another four and two weeks respectively.

Tsepo Masilela will only resume training in 10 days' time after his knee gave him problems after the game against Bloemfontein Celtic.
