Transfer news: Royal Eagles close in on former Polokwane City striker Raymond Monama

Posted: 1 September 2015 Time: 14:52 can reveal that Royal Eagles are set to swoop on former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Raymond Monama.

Monama has been without a team since parting ways with Polokwane City at the end of last season.

"We expecting Monama to arrive any time this week," says Eagles general manager Richard Makhoba.

Makhoba also disclosed the NFD club has signed Tanzanian striker Uhuru Suleiman on a three-year contract.

Meanwhile, Makhoba dismissed talk Shaun Bartlett is being lined up to replace coach Vladislav Heric, who has collected one point from the first two games of the season.

"Heric is no going anywhere. The club is fully behind our coach."

The Durban-based outfit have been active in the market, recently landing ex-PSL stars Katlego Mphela, Dominic Isaacs and Khethokwakhe Masuku.
