PSL transfer news: Maritzburg assess Abia Nale and welcome Kwanda Mngonyama back

Posted: 1 September 2015 Time: 09:36

Maritzburg United manager Quintin Jettoo says the club is yet to decide whether to sign Abia Nale, while he expressed delight at securing Kwanda Mngonyama's return to the Team of Choice.

Nale has been training with Maritzburg after falling out of favour at Mpumalanga Black Aces.

Bafana Bafana defender Mngonyama yesterday re-joined United for another season-long loan from Mamelodi Sundowns.

“Nale is still training the coach has not made a decision fortunately he is a free agent and if we find that we need to enter in to negotiations, then we can do it outside the window. So there is no pressure on that one,” Jettoo said.

Regarding Mngonyama, he said: “It is just unfortunate that it came so late because we have played a couple of games already. But having said that, we are happy to have him for the rest of the season.

“We tried to get him outright unfortunately we couldn't agree and the best option was to take him for another season on loan and we will see at the end of the season the way forward.

“I'm not sure about contractual obligations... my understanding is he is still contracted to Sundowns beyond the end of the season. We obviously have to discuss with Sundowns after the end of the season.”
