Chippa United have finally completed the signing of Burkina Faso striker Aristide Bance on a three-year deal.
Following Edward Manqele's move to Kaizer Chiefs, club chairman Chippa Mpengesi has exclusively revealed that he has secured the services of Bance.
"We have signed Aristide Bance and he is the straight replacement for Edward Manqele at the club," Mpengesi tells Kickoff.com.
"He has signed a three year deal with us and he is already here in Port Elizabeth.
"I'm giving you that story and you are the first for me to confirmed that Chippa United has signed Bance."
Meanwhile, Mpengesi says that he is not interested in signing David Zulu as part of the Manqele deal, adding that it was an outright deal between the two clubs and not a swap deal.
"It is not a swap deal; it is straight deal and Kaizer Chiefs paid a transfer fee for [Manqele].
"I was not interested in a loan deal for Zulu. He still needs to fight for his place at Chiefs.
"You can't sell the player and the next thing you want him back, you know what I mean?
"So it would mean i was not selling him with an open heart and it will not be good for him coming [back] to us. There was no such thing as a swap deal," Mpengesi concludes.
The Port Elizabeth outfit have also confirmed the signing of 21-year-old striker Muhammad Zaid Patel from Bidvest Wits.
