PSL transfer news: Celtic defender Nkausu at Wits

Posted: 20 August 2015 Time: 11:25

Zambian defender Davies Nkausu has surfaced at Bidvest Wits as he seeks to move on with his career after falling out of favour at Bloemfontein Celtic straight after his return from a six-month loan spell at University of Pretoria.

Celtic have made it known that they are open to releasing Nkausu to any club keen on his services as he is not in their plans for this season despite the fact that he still has a running contract with the club.

Khumbulani Konco, the Celtic CEO, confirms that they are keen to see the 29-year-old continue with his career elsewhere which has prompted Nkausu to try out at Wits in the hope of winning a deal.

“He has not been training with us but we are currently looking for a team for him because he is still contracted to us,” Konco tells KickOff.com.

Nkausu has been holed up in Gauteng since the expiry of his loan deal at AmaTuks.

The 2012 AFCON winner has also previously played for SuperSport United.
