Roger de Sa sings Ndiviwe Mdabuka praises

Ajax Cape Town coach Roger De Sa has heaped praise on the player who is turning out to be his marquee signing, Ndiviwe Mdabuka.

The 24-year-old midfielder was signed from National First Division side Vasco da Gama and is slowly proving to be the best signing for the Urban Warriors.

His Man of the Match display and solitary goal for Ajax against Orlando Pirates saw his side through to the MTN8 semi-finals, and another fine shift in the 1-1 draw against Bidvest Wits on Saturday evening saw him walk away with more accolades.

“’Diva’ [Mdabuka] has been outstanding for us,” De Sa tells KickOff.com.

“He’s been one of my best signings ever and there’s a lot of ways about him that reminds me of Benson Mhlongo when I found him and took him to Wits.

“Of course his progress at Wits was outstanding and I see Diva has a lot of similarities. He’s quiet, he goes about his job and he does his job extremely well. I see him as a future star in South African football.

“I don’t think he’s as flexible as the other Ajax products, but his box-to-box style of play, commitment and energy is unbelievable. He’s a polished footballer and I see him getting better and better.”

Mdabuka will have another chance to impress when Ajax host Maritzburg United on Saturday evening.
