Mandla Ncikazi praying for Kwanda deal

Posted: 12 August 2015 Time: 08:20

Maritzburg United coach Mandla Ncikazi says he ‘would love’ to have Kwanda Mngonyama back at the club and hopes a deal can be struck with Mamelodi Sundowns soon.

The national Under-23 captain spent last season on loan at the Team of Choice, where he made 24 starts and played a key role in their Top Eight finish.

However, he has since returned to Chloorkop, where he is not even training with the first team.

Sundowns reportedly have offers from Maritzburg, Bidvest Wits and SuperSport United on the table, and Ncikazi hopes his team will win the race for his signature.

“I wish I can wake up tomorrow and he's here,” Ncikazi tells KickOff.com.

“There are discussions and I don't know the extent of those, but I would love to have him.”

Mngonyama’s agent, Tim Sukazi, recently made a passionate plea to Sundowns to let the player go.
