PSL transfer news: AmaZulu insist no offers for Van Heerden, Akoriko, Hlanti

AmaZulu marketing manager Lunga Sokhela insists no club has made an offer for any one of Marc van Heerden, Sadate Akoriko and Sifiso Hlanti.
The defenders have been linked with various Absa Premiership teams following Usuthu's relegation to the National First Division.
However, Sokhela told the club's website: "The reports that were all over saying that Van Heerden, Hlanti and Akoriko could not leave the club because of our high price tag on them are untrue. These remain as rumours, we only read about these things in the media and there is no club that came to us to make an offer.”
Meanwhile, Sokhela elaborated on AmaZulu's bid to buy Mpumalanga Black Aces' topflight status, which was blocked by the PSL last month.
“What happened was that Aces made an offer to us because they had some problems with finances. We saw an opportunity to come in and look into the deal. It was a good business opportunity which was going to see us back into the PSL.
“Unfortunately the PSL didn’t agree and although we still stood a chance to challenge them, we decided to let go. Another important factor to that matter is that this was supposed to be in private and the amount that we apparently were willing to pay Aces is not true.”
