AmaZulu sign Thabo Moloi from SuperSport United on loan

Posted: 29 July 2015 Time: 22:49

AmaZulu have completed the signing of right-back Thabo Moloi from SuperSport United on a season-long loan.

Usuthu are short of a right-back at the moment after offloading William Mwedihanga, who has since signed for University of Pretoria, while SuperSport have signed Grant Kekana from Tuks in the same position.

United CEO Stan Matthews said during the club’s unveiling of their new away kit and players that Moloi will be donning the green and white of Usuthu in the NFD next season.

“Yes, we are loaning out Thabo Moloi to AmaZulu for next season,” said Matthews.

Usuthu are patching up their squad after an exodus of players recently left the club upon the expiry of their contract, as well as others being released.

This deal, though, will not be the first time Usuthu have signed a right-back from Matsatsantsa. Roscoe Petersen also spent the second half of last season on loan at AmaZulu.

Moloi is set to be unveiled during Friday's press conference, along with other players who were signed from the lower divisions as Usuthu aim to meet the NFD’s Under-23 rule for the coming season.
