Mahamutsa pulled out of training this morning due to an injury and coach Eric Tinkler has confirmed his absence at OR Tambo before they depart for Tunisia.

Bucs face CS Sfaxien on Sunday in a Group B match looking to bounce back from a home defeat to Egyptian club Zamalek.

“Unfortunately this morning we lost Rooi Mahamutsa after he picked up an injury in training,” Tinkler told reporters.

“So he had to come out of the squad at the last minute. We had to bring Lehlogonolo Masalesa aboard because we also have Ayanda Gcaba on the injury list so we don't have anybody who can replace both of them who are registered for CAF.

“At least Siyabonga Sangweni is back, he will be in there. We will have a problem if one of our centre-backs get injured.”
