Mamelodi Sundowns may be quiet in the current transfer window but their assistant coach Rhulani Mokoena is encouraged by the capture of striker Fiston Abdul Razak from Sofapaka.
Downs coach Pitso Mosimane and his technical team were keen to strengthen their strike-force to relieve some pressure on Cuthbert Malajila, who was their top scorer in the League with 10 goals last term.
Mokoena has backed Razak to turn heads in the upcoming PSL season.
"Fiston is a warrior, a predator and very good on playing with his back to goal," Mokoena says.
"He's very mobile and can play in spaces. He's also quick and has a very good first touch.
"He needs to acclimatise to the tempo of football in South Africa. It's very quick and you could see sometimes he thinks he had more time and he was dispossessed of the ball.
"That needs to improve and it will come in time but he's a very good player, he will score a lot of goals for us."
Mokoena feels the Burundi international is in a similar mould to Malajila.
"He has similar qualities [to Malajila]. I think that's why Cuthbert fits into our game model and we looked for someone more or less with the same profile.
"I think Fiston has a little more ability in terms of finishing off chances and being a bit more composed inside the box."
