Forgotten midfielder Joseph ‘Tight’ Molangoane will continue at Chippa United following confirmation from the club that he is undergoing pre-season training in Durban.
Molangoane battled with injuries last season which led to him eventually starting only the opening four games of the last campaign.
KickOff.com has been told that despite all the misfortunes faced by the Limpopo-born midfielder, he will be staying put this season as he seeks to play more football than what he has managed in the last two years.
Lukhanyo Mzinzi, the Chippa spokesman, confirms that Molangoane is still with the club despite battling through his first season at the club after arriving from Orlando Pirates.
“Tight is training with the club at the pre-season camp in Durban and is staying put with the club as per his contract,” says Mzinzi.
Meanwhile, Chippa have completed the signing of Sandile Zuke on a one-year deal just under a week after his arrival for the club’s Durban camp.
Zuke spent the past season on loan at Bidvest Wits from Mpumalanga Black Aces and joins as a free agent.
“Zuke’s deal is now signed and sealed,” says Mzinzi.
Ali Tlhoaele, the player’s manager, also confirms that the 28-year-old will be turning out for the Chilli Boys this season.
“It is a done deal and he has signed on a straight one-year contract,” adds Tlhoaele.
Zuke started five games for Aces early last season before moving to Wits at the end of August, where he made a further 17 appearances, seven as a substitute.
