Sandile Zuke to Chippa United, Asanda Mvalo released

Posted: 14 July 2015 Time: 23:04

Chippa United have identified Sandile Zuke as a target, with the midfield workhorse expected to link up with the Chilli Boys in Durban on Wednesday.

Zuke spent the past season on loan at Bidvest Wits from Mpumalanga Black Aces but his deal with AmaZayoni has since expired, which paves the way for him to move on as a free agent.

The 28-year-old started five games for Aces early on last season before moving to Wits, where he made a further 17 appearances – seven as a substitute.

KickOff.com has been informed that Zuke travelled to Durban on Tuesday to link up with Chippa, who are currently on a pre-season camp there.

Chippa are in need of a central midfielder following the expiry of Manti Moholo and Thami Sangweni’s loan spells from Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.

In other news, Chippa have released defender Msekeli Mvalo after just one season with the club.

Mvalo returned to United last season after a short stint with Royal Eagles but has stopped training with the Chilli Boys with the view to finding a new team before the start of next season.

“We have agreed to part ways with Chippa United and are sorting out a few things before we get his clearance,” confirms his agent Josiah Mphono.

“Already one team has shown great interest in signing him,” he adds.
