Orlando Pirates part ways with Khethowakhe Masuku

Posted: 9 July 2015 Time: 19:51 can reveal that Orlando Pirates have parted ways with midfielder Khethowakhe Masuku, who now becomes a free agent.

It was today learnt that the 29-year-old recieved his clearance from the Houghton-based club, but when called for comment Masuku referred this website to his agent Abbie Rasimpi of Liberate Resources Sports Management.

“I can confirm that Masuku is a free agent,” Rasimpi reveals.

“Pirates agreed to release him today and there is no bad blood between the two parties.

"The whole thing was done in a good and correct manner. What remains now is to talk to teams that are interested in him.

He is a good player, there is no doubt about that, but he didn’t play much at Pirates – not as much as he wanted, but we are not blaming anyone. It is just that Pirates is a team full of quality players, and Masuku did play at times, but not enough.

“He is a good player and I think he can do very well for any team. Remember he can play both at left and right wing or as an attacking midfielder. So he can be a good signing for any team,” Rasimpi adds.

During his three seasons with Bucs, Masuku started 34 matches, came off the bench 17 times and scored four goals.
