Boris Savic not returning to Moroka Swallows

Posted: 9 July 2015 Time: 12:37

Moroka Swallows have confirmed that Bosnia and Herzegovina defender Boris Savic will not be returning to the club for their First Division campaign.

Savic joined at the beginning of last season along with the Serbian duo of goalkeeper Obren Cuckovic and midfielder Vladimir Mandic, going on to play 10 games as Swallows went down to the NFD.

Swallows boss Leon Prins confirms why Savic will not be returning.

“His mother was very sick and he asked to return home. He will not be coming back anymore,” he tells KickOff.com.

Savic is now expected to continue with his career in the Balkan Peninsula where he had played all his football prior to moving to Swallows.

Meanwhile, Cuckovic and Mandic have returned to the country as they remain contracted with Swallows.
