PSL transfer news: Platinum Stars extend Mathe stay

Platinum Stars have activated the option of a further year on the contract of Solomon Mathe keeping the veteran midfielder in Rustenburg for a sixth year running.

Mathe piled up the third most appearances for the club last season with 26 starts in all competitions, only standing behind Kabelo Dambe and Ndumiso Mabena.

Thabo Moloto, who represents Mathe, confirms that the 35-year-old is staying on with Dikwena for at least another year.

“He has extended for another season,” Moloto tells KickOff.com.

Mathe is now the club’s longest serving player in the current squad.
