AmaZulu defender S’fiso Hlanti has reported back for pre-season with the club adamant that he will be staying on despite speculation linking him with a move away.
Hlanti’s performances in the 22 games that he started last season at left-back were so encouraging that they ignited rumours of a move away from the relegated club.
Japhet Zwane, the Usuthu team manager, insists the 25-year-old is staying put.
“According to what I know he is staying with the club so talk of him leaving is just mere speculation. He hasn’t mentioned anything about wanting to leave and is already at training with the rest of the squad,” says Zwane.
KickOff.com has gathered that Marc van Heerden is likely to leave even though he has already reported for pre-season training, which started on Monday. Orlando Pirates have been mentioned as a likely destination.
Also back at Usuthu training is Goodman Dlamini, who has been linked with a move to Maritzburg United and could still leave, although there is now a spanner in the works.
