Orlando Pirates defender Ntsikelelo Nyauza is confident of his place in the national team despite being forced to withdraw from the current squad to face Mauritius.
Nyauza was one of three players withdrawn from Bafana Bafana this week, including Bucs teammate Thabo Matlaba and AmaZulu left-back Marc Van Heerden.
Pirates are currently in the middle of their CAF Confederations Cup campaign, with the domestic season also looming on the horizon, therefore the 25-year-old had to relinquish his spot in current squad.
However, 'Ntsiki' is confident that his withdrawal will not threaten his place under coach Shakes Mashaba for future Bafana duty.
“The club pulled me out because there are more games coming up and it’s a bit hectic,” Nyauza told News24.
“Matlaba and I have to focus on the CAF, we’ve also got cup games and the league coming up so it is what it is.”
“There’s always another chance [to play for Bafana], I don’t take [the withdrawal] as a disappointment,” he adds.
