KickOff.com can reveal that Mpumalanga Black Aces have sealed a new deal to extend Thanduyise Khuboni’s stay at AmaZayoni.
Although ‘Gonondo’ is under the ProSport International stable, Mike Makaab could not share the exact information on Khuboni’s situation as he is not directly dealing with the player’s affairs.
Alban Newman is looking after the former Bafana Bafana international, however Makaab confirms to this website that Khuboni will stay with the club for next season.
“I can tell you that we’re finalising the talks with the club regarding Khuboni,” says Makaab.
“I’m told that it’s almost done, but I can’t really have the full details as I’m not directly dealing with the club.
“With [Mzuvukile] Tom, there’s nothing I can tell you for now and there have been no formal offers from other clubs.”
Aces media manager Gordon Masondo has put it on record that both Khuboni and Tom are training with the club and are set to stay.
“I believe the players will be with us next season. Discussing their contracts is not right as they’re confidential but there are negotiations currently ongoing,” says Masando.
“Look, they’re going to camp over the weekend and before they go and the month ends, we need to finalise everything. I think tomorrow I’ll tell you something concrete.”
Both players, should Tom also stay, are set to reunite with their former coach Muhsin Ertugral, who was previously in charge of Golden Arrows.
