PSL transfer news: Ngubane linked with Pirates after rejecting AmaTuks deal

Posted: 23 June 2015 Time: 08:18

Siyabonga Ngubane has been linked with a move to Orlando Pirates after rejecting a contract extension at University of Pretoria.

AmaTuks coach Sammy Troughton has confirmed the former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder is leaving his side, with Bucs believed to be his next destination.

"I like the boy as a player but his package was out of our range," Troughton tells KickOff.com.

"I think he got a good offer somewhere. He gave us good service, I am happy for him and wish him all the best."

Ngubane made 20 starts in the Absa Premiership in 2014/15.

The 26-year-old joined Tuks in July 2013 after a loan spell, along with Buhle Mkhwanazi, as part of the swap deal that saw Bongani Zungu link up with Sundowns.
