Bloemfontein Celtic striker Lerato Lamola will stay at the club "for now" despite his discontent, reveals the player's agent.
Lamola finished with 13 league goals for Free State-based side last season but is unhappy with the club decision not to hold an awards ceremony, after losing their last game of the season to relegated Moroka Swallows.
According to the player's agent Glyn Binkin, Lamola is is disappointed that he was not rewarded for his efforts in scoring 13 goals for the club last season.
“Lerato was not happy about the fact that he was not rewarded for his efforts last season. However, since he has a contract with the club he is staying on and will continue there for now,” Binkin tells KickOff.com.
information reaching this website is that two clubs – one being Bidvest Wits – have been contemplating bringing in the 29 year-old aboard, but have yet to officially pursue their interest.
Lamola has also already indicated that he is open to a move if Celtic agreed, with his increasing age pushing his desire for a move that will get him an improved contract.
