The three left-backs are in the Bafana Bafana squad to face Gambia in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday (kick-off: 15h00).

"Yeah look, we got Thabo and Pat here as well and both are two quality fullbacks," says Van Heerden, who played in both of Bafana's games in the recent Cosafa Cup on home soil.

"You know if I get my chance I will take it, but we're all good left-backs and are on the team for a reason so whoever gets chosen on the day must go out and do the job.

"Having said that, it is high-profile game for the country and it's a privilege to he here."

Meanwhile, the AmaZulu defender refused to discuss his future amid reports linking him with Bidvest Wits, SuperSport United and Platinum Stars.

"My future will be decided by the time the pre-season comes and I'm still contracted with AmaZulu and there is nothing more to say about that."
