Egyptian giants Al Ahly will start defending their CAF Champions League title by facing the winner of Tanzanian champions Young Africans and Etoile d’or de Mirontsy of Comores in the competition’s round of 32.

The six-time champions will kick-off their Champions League campaign on March 13-15, and the second leg will be held on April 3-5.

The fixture is considered easy for the Red Devils, as neither Young Africans nor Etoile have any history or experience competing in the Champions League.

The full draw for the 2009 competition, released by Caf yesterday, is:

The second legs will be played on the weekend of February 13-15.

The second round, first leg ties will be played on the weekend of March 13-15 with the return ties on the weekend of April 3-5.

I don't even bother watch the African Champions League anymore because these desert pyramids will win it anyway. For once, can we have both the mighty Bucs and Kaizer Chimps seriously contesting this title for SA? I could be more exciting.
