Nyundu in demand

Black Leopards striker Roggert Nyundu has confirmed interest from various PSL clubs after making a huge impression during his loan spell in the National First Division.

Nyundu joined Lidoda Duvha on loan from Polokwane City at the beginning of the year and has gone on to score an incredible 19 goals in all competitions during his short stay at Leopards.

“I have since enjoyed my time here at Leopards and if I had things my way I would have loved to continue here because this is the club that has given me the platform to be seen,” the forward tells KickOff.com. “However, there is interest from several PSL clubs who have been calling me after seeing what I have done here at Leopards.

“Whatever happens, I just want to be playing next season so that I get to progress with my career,” he says.

Polokwane City - with whom the 27-year-old has a very low paying contract - have also already indicated their desire to bring him back next season.

Nyundu’s ferocious strike secured a 1-0 victory for his NFD side on Sunday to relegate Moroka Swallows for South Africa’s top-flight, with the Limpopo-based team awaiting Jomo Cosmos’ result on Wednesday to see whether or not they will be promoted into the PSL next season.
