Bloemfontein Celtic have released goalkeeper Thembalethu Moses, while they remain in talks with Mamelodi Sundowns over the services of Musa Nyatama and Mukuka Mulenga.

Moses was deemed surplus to requirements after failing to make a single appearance this past season. His exit means Bongani Mpandle now provides sole cover to first-choice keeper Patrick Tignyemb, who was nominated for the PSL Goalkeeper of the Season award along with Anssi Jaakkola and eventual winner Moeneeb Josephs.

"Yes, I can confirm to you that we have released Thembalethu Moses and I'm sure you know that we also released Mzava, Mogorosi, Gabonamong, Manzini as well," the club's PRO Sello Nduna tells

"Those players we have released. Their contracts were ending next month and we informed them that we are not going to renew them."

Sello reiterated Celtic's desire to retain Nyatama and Mulenga following their respective loan spells in the City of Roses.

"We are busy engaging Sundowns and the truth of the matter is we would love to keep these players so we are busy negotiating with Sundowns and negotiations are ongoing."

Clinton Larsen's outfit have recruited ex-Maritzburg United defender Thabang Matuka and Geofrey Massa from University of Pretoria ahead of next term.
