Puleng Tlolane blow for Bafana Bafana

Posted: 20 May 2015 Time: 14:07

KickOff.com can confirm that Puleng Tlolane has been withdrawn from the Bafana Bafana squad that’s due to participate in the Cosafa Cup.

Tlolane, who plays for Polokwane City, had a collision with the Lesotho goalkeeper during a practice match over the past weekend that ended 1-1.

He was due for a late fitness test and this website can reveal that he has failed to recover on time.

This follows the withdrawal of midfield duo Cole Alexander and Athenkosi Dlala through injury. Alexander was stretchered off against Lesotho after twisting his ankle and has also failed to recover.

Dlala, on the other hand, is suffering a recurrence of an old knock and will not be able to recover in time for the tournament.

Bafana are set to depart for Rustenburg on Thursday morning and start at the quarter-final stage against Botswana at Moruleng Stadium on Sunday.
