The subject of Punch Masenamela’s desire for a permanent move to Platinum Stars will come under discussion when the club’s management hold a meeting with coach Cavin Johnson.
The defender moved to the Rustenburg-based side in January on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns.
Masenamela has already expressed his desire to remain with the club beyond his loan spell, which has already come to an end.
With the defender’s contract set to expire at the end of June, sources tell KickOff.com that his agent, Jazzman Mahlakgane, is already negotiating for a permanent transfer.
However, Stars football manager Senzo Mazingiza says the player’s fate will only be clearer after the meeting between the club’s board and the technical department.
“At the moment, we cannot really say who is coming in and who is going,” Mazingiza tells this website.
“The coach, in consultation with his technical team, will have to decide the players he would like to have in the team for the next season.
“I cannot therefore jump the gun and tell you about the future of Punch regarding the club or the future of any other player. It would be premature. We will release a statement as soon as we have completed the deliberations,” Mazingiza adds.
