Bafana Bafana trio Marc van Heerden, Sibusiso Khumalo and Athenkhosi Dlala are shy of full fitness as the national side prepares for their Cosafa Cup opener against Botswana.
AmaZulu fullback Van Heerden is nursing an Achilles tendon complaint, while Khumalo and Dlala are recovering from a bout of flu and a knee problem respectively.
However, the three have departed with the rest of the team for Lesotho where Shakes Mashaba's men have some training games lined up.
Safa spokesman Dominic Chimhavi revealed the news on Twitter, saying: "Bafana Bafana have just left their hotel for Lesotho, including Khumalo (flu), Van Heerden (achilles tendon) & Dlala (knee )."
Free State Stars defender Daniel Cardoso and Mzikayise Mashaba of Mamelodi Sundowns have already withdrawn from the squad through injury, while Puleng Tlolane of Polokwane City had encountered passport issues.
South Africa will start their tournament campaign at the quarter-final stage against the Zebras at Moruleng Stadium in the North West Province next Sunday.
