Bidvest Wits pricing Erwin Isaacs out of Ajax move

Posted: 29 April 2015 Time: 12:23

Erwin Isaacs’ desire to stay on at Ajax Cape Town beyond the expiry of his loan deal will only come to fruition if his mother club Bidvest Wits drops the asking price for his permanent release.

This is according to an Ajax official who has made it known that they are interested in holding on to Isaacs, who has impressed since arriving on loan at the end of January.

Isaacs has started 10 games and scored three goals for Ajax, sending a clear message that his career always flourishes when he is playing in his hometown.

“Erwin is on loan to us from Wits at the moment but we will have to see how we take it off going forward. Wits want a lot of money for his services so that might be a stumbling block for us but we will see what happens,” says the Ajax official.

Wits have already named their price, which is thought to be the equivalent of what they got him for from Santos in 2012.
