Siyanda Zwane sings Pitso Mosimane's praises

Posted: 28 April 2015 Time: 08:39

Siyanda Zwane has hailed Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane as a ‘winner’ and thanked him for protecting his players.

The defender has enjoyed a stellar rise under ‘Jingles’ this season and was named Man of the Match in the Brazilians’ 1-0 Nedbank Cup semifinal win against Vasco da Gama on Sunday.

Zwane admits it hasn’t always been easy, but says he “loves the man”.

"It’s still a work in progress. I still have to improve as a player, but I’m grateful to the coach for giving me the opportunity to play,” he says.

"He gives me a hard time, but I’m used to him now. When I first came here he used to shout at me and I would shake and end up losing concentration.

“But he is a winner. There is no room for mistakes, but he still understands that we are human beings. I love the man.”

Zwane has also thanked Mosimane for protecting them in the media.

"Playing for Sundowns is a great motivation. The coach is always there for us when you guys [media] give us a hard time. He is always in front protecting us.”

Zwane will face a tough test of his credentials when Sundowns host new champions Kaizer Chiefs in the Absa Premiership tomorrow night.
