Michael Morton ready for Ajax Cape Town

Posted: 25 April 2015 Time: 15:23

SuperSport United midfielder Michael Morton says he expects another tough encounter against Ajax Cape Town tonight, but believes they prepared well enough to get the desired result.

The two teams square off in a Nedbank Cup semifinal tonight, with the Urban Warriors having had the better of their encounters this season, winning one and drawing the other.

But Morton feels the week-long preparation has put them in good stead for the match.

“Preparations have gone very well,” he tells “We didn’t have a midweek game, and that has allowed us to focus totally on the semifinal. We are also all clear on the injury front, so we’re looking strong.”

Morton adds: “The last time they presented us with quite a challenge, so we will have to be at our best because they are a good side.

“We have done a lot of work on the tactical side to counter what they will come up with the day, so hopefully it comes off for us on the day.”

The match takes place at Athlone Stadium, with kick-off set for 20h15.
