Torrealba hearing set for tonight

The battle between Mamelodi Sundowns and striker Jose Torrealba over allegations of a forged extension to the Venezuelan’s contract is expected to come to an end today when Safa’s Appeal Board sit down to make ruling on the matter.

Sundowns lodged an appeal after the League’s Disciplinary Resolution Chamber declared Torrealba a free agent following evidence from hand writing experts that the South American international’s signature on the contract form prepared by the Brazilians was forged.

PSL prosecutor Zola Majavu has confirmed that the case will start at 18h00.

Both parties’ legal teams are expected to be in attendance.

Its clear that Mr Torrealba doesn\'t want to play for Sundowns anymore. Why not let the player go instead of stalling his career which could be blossoming. You can take a horse to a river but cannot force it to drink.Afzal and his company forged his signature it was proven by experts.Mr Motsepe is going to have a handful,it was Shakoane now this.People will get the chop.I take it that Mr Motsepe is a law abiding citizen.

The real culprits must do an Honourable thing and admit they forged that guy\'s signature, other than wasting other people\'s time. I am sure Patrice will exercise his powers by trying to maintain the good name of his team.

I feel very badly about the effect of all this on Torrealba. The guy has lost so much in his pocket already why can\'t Sundowns let the guy to continue with his career. Why do they always put their pride first than the effect that their pride have on the life of other people. It is a well known fact that if you want to see criminals (e.g. Shakoane & Afzal) you must go to Sundowns and you will see.
