Mwedihanga preaches AmaZulu unity in relegation fight

AmaZulu will never retain their PSL status if they play as individuals, according to Namibian defender Willem Mwedihanga.

Usuthu prop up the Absa Premiership table with 27 points from 23 games - five points shy of escaping the drop zone.

“We need to work as a unit and also work hard for one another. If we play as individuals we will never get to achieve this goal of maintaining our status in the PSL,” Mwedihanga told the club's website.

The Steve Barker-led outfit next face fellow strugglers Free State Stars at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.

“It is an important match for us, it will give us a margin and make a difference in us in terms of points and our morale as well,” Mwedihanga added.

“We will try and take it one step at a time like we have done in the previous matches.”
