Barker: Ndulula, Dlamini must step up

Posted: 24 March 2015 Time: 09:12

AmaZulu coach Steve Barker expects Bongani Ndulula and Ayanda Dlamini to step up to the plate in the absence of suspended striker Bongi Ntuli.

Ntuli has impressed since joining Usuthu on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns in January, netting three League goals and providing one assist for the Absa Premiership strugglers.

However, Ntuli is set to serve a two-game ban after being sent off for throwing an elbow in 1-1 draw with Chippa United in Port Elizabeth on March 13.

"It is a bit of a setback for us because the player was scoring and showing some confidence in front of goals again," Barker told his club's website. "However, we have other quality players in Bongani Ndulula and Ayanda Dlamini.

"I think these players are ready to step and use the opportunity to the best of their abilities. They have done well for the club before and I am sure they will do a wonderful job."

Barker's side next face Free State Stars at Moses Mabhida Stadium on April 4.
