Phunya Sele Sele CEO Ike Augousti confirmed to KickOff.com the presence of the former Bafana Bafana striker and added that they have already opened negotiations with the intention of offering him a contract.
“Yes, Shaun Bartlett is here. He trained with the team today and the chances are high that we will sign him.
“We are currently engaged in negotiations and hopefully by next week he will officially be a Celtic player.”
Bartlett’s move to Bloemfontein will be welcomed by all concerned as the Free Staters have struggling to pick up points in the Absa Premiership since the beginning of the season.
Bartlett played under Mich D’Avray during the 90s whilst the coach was still handling Cape Town Spurs.
