Franklin Cale and Toriq Losper both dedicated Ajax Cape Town’s victory over Chippa United to their team’s kit man Mr Albert Hendricks.

Cale was awarded the Absa Premiership Man of the Match award for his two assists in the Urban Warriors’ 2-0 win over Chippa United on Friday night, and dedicated the award and the win to “Mr Albert”.

“This award goes out to our kit man - Mr Albert – he’s very sick and in hospital,” said Cale.

Losper then joined his teammate in dedication to the ill kit man, revealing that the club staff member suffered a heart-attack, which is why he is currently in hospital.

“I would like to dedicate this game to Mr Albert Hendricks, he is currently in hospital after a heart attack,” Losper added.

Cale also added that, despite the win not being their best performance, the win was what the team needed most after failing to do so in their previous seven league encounters.

“It wasn’t the best of games, but we needed this three points,

“We have to work on our striking force, and build on this [performance],” he concluded.
