Bryce Moon and Punch Masenamela to face Sundowns

Posted: 26 February 2015 Time: 21:19

Mamelodi Sundowns will allow Bryce Moon and Punch Masenamela, who are on loan at Platinum Stars, to play against them in the Nedbank Cup last 16.

Dikwena and the Brazilians were pitted against each for the third time in a cup competition this season, having earlier met in the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout. On both occasions PStars came out victorious.

Dikwena have three players on loan from Sundowns – Moon, Masenamela and Mogakolodi Ngele – and all players will be allowed to play against their parent club.

In the past Sundowns have refused to allow on loan players to play against them, but recently the club has changed its tune.

Luyolo Nomandela and Thamsanqa Sangweni, who are on loan at Moroka Swallows and Chippa United respectively, have already played and scored against Sundowns this season.

On Tuesday, Bongi Ntuli was in the AmaZulu starting line-up that took the field against Sundowns.

“Yes, we do allow players who are on loan to play against us, but it up to the clubs whether they are in the team or not,” Downs PRO Kabelo Mosito tells KickOff.com.

“Nomandela, Ntuli and other players have played against us and ye,s Bryce and Punch will be allowed to play against us. But it will be up to Platinum Stars to decide whether to play them or not.”
