A number of new signings made their debuts last night, with Kingston Nkhatha, Mbulelo Mabizela and Mabhuti Khenyeza on target for their respective clubs.

Nkhatha started his SuperSport United tenure in style, netting an early opener against Free State Stars at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

However, the former Kaizer Chiefs striker was denied a victorious bow, as Stars responded via goals from fellow debutants Mbuyiselo Thethani and Hendrik Somaeb to draw 2-2.

Thethani and Somaeb featured off the bench, with Reabetsoe Rakoti also representing Ea Lla Koto for the first time last night, clocking the full 90 minutes.

AmaZulu recruit Mabizela headed home against former club Orlando Pirates at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Usuthu, though, went down to strikes from their ex-employee Lehlohonolo Majoro and Kermit Erasmus in Durban.

Mabizela joined the League strugglers last month after being offloaded by Mpumalanga Black Aces in December following a fall-out with AmaZayoni coach Clive Barker, the uncle of AmaZulu mentor Steve Barker.

Bongi Ntuli - a loan signing from Mamelodi Sundowns - also started for AmaZulu as he made way for Ayanda Dlamini with seven minutes to go.

Tlou Segolela returned to PSL action as he came off the bench in Platinum Stars' 1-1 stalemate with Aces in Rustenburg.

'Sox' replaced scoring teammate Mahlatsi Makudubela in the 80th minute at Royal Bafokeng Stadium for his first appearance of the season following his outright switch from Pirates.

Polokwane City introduced defensive midfielder Bhekuthando Mmema and Ghanaian forward Ransford Osei in a battling 1-1 draw with Ajax Cape Town in the Mother City.

Mmema, a development product with Reserve League experience, played the full 90 minutes against the Urban Warriors.

Osei, formerly of Bloemfontein Celtic and Asante Kotoko, replaced star striker Puleng Tlolane with 10 minutes remaining at Cape Town Stadium.

Ajax midfielder Toriq Losper also made his first appearance for the team on his return to Ikamva. Losper's loan deal at Bidvest Wits was cancelled last month.

In the National First Division, Khenyeza and Andile Fikizolo both scored on debut for Golden Arrows in a 2-0 victory at Milano United.

Khenyeza left AmaZayoni in January, while Fikizolo has been farmed out to Abafana Bes'thende by SuperSport.
