AmaZulu newcomer Roscoe Pietersen feels everyone has a fair shot at game-time under coach Steve Barker.
Pietersen joined Usuthu last month on loan from SuperSport United, having made two starts and three substitute outings in the League this season.
“I am excited to be here. The training has been great and the rest of the players are amazing. I have only been here for a short period of time but I have learned a lot from coach Steve Barker," Pietersen told the club's official website.
“I think joining this club will give me a platform to prove my worth and I am working hard on getting more game time.”
The former Chippa United defender added: “Everyone is working extra hard here, I don’t think there are any favourites – we are all given the same treatment.
“The mere fact that we are in this position is a motivating factor for us all.
“What is good is that one is playing with quality players so I also get to work hard and aim to improve my game at all times.”
AmaZulu, who are propping up the standings, will host high-flying Orlando Pirates at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Wednesday.
The League has been suspended since December 21 to accommodate the festive period and the recently concluded Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
