Roscoe Pietersen to prove his worth at AmaZulu

Posted: 8 February 2015 Time: 13:24

Roscoe Pietersen hopes his move to AmaZulu will finally allow him the opportunity to show the football-loving public what he can do.

The 26-year-old defender has joined Usuthu from SuperSport United, where he battled for game-time under Cavin Johnson and Gordon Igesund.

Now settled in Durban after a couple of weeks of training, Pietersen is ready to make his mark.

“I am excited to be here,” he tells the club’s official website. “The training has been great and the rest of the players are amazing.

“I have only been here for a short period of time, but I have learned a lot from coach Steve Barker.

“I think joining this club will give me a platform to prove my worth and I am working hard on getting more game-time.”

Bottom-placed AmaZulu start their fight to beat the drop on Wednesday with a home clash against Orlando Pirates.
