Bafana Bafana's upcoming opponents Algeria have suffered another injury blow heading into the African Nations Cup, with goalkeeper Mohamed Lamine Zemmamouche the latest casualty.
He is the third player named in the original 23-man squad, that was picked last month, who has been forced to withdraw from the tournament which starts in Equatorial Guinea on Saturday.
Zemmamouche suffered an injury to his shin at training, the Algerian Football Federation said on Thursday. His replacement is Cedric Si Mohamed from CS Constantine, who was in the squad at last year’s World Cup finals.
Algeria play South Africa in their opening Group C match in Mongomo on Monday.
