PSL transfer news: Mzava uncertain of Bloemfontein Celtic future

Posted: 12 January 2015 Time: 14:45

Young defender Limbikani Mzava is uncertain of his future at Bloemfontein Celtic, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

While Celtic are yet to indicate if they will offer Mzava a new deal, the 21-year-old's agent Walter Mokoena says his client has numerous other options.

“We haven’t had any agreement with the club but at this stage we don’t know if he’ll be staying," Mokoena tells KickOff.com.

“He has a lot of offers, he is a good player and he is an international player. There has been a lot of offers but for now he’s concentrating on his contract which is set to expire at the end of the season.

“So we’ll wait until the end of the season, then we’ll take it from there.”

Mzava is hopeful Phunya Sele Sele will extend his stay at the club.

“At the moment I’m focusing on finishing my season with Celtic and I wish to stay here a bit longer because this is the team that helped me play in the PSL,” he says.

“I’m wishing to stay here but it will depend on the contract talks.”

The Malawi international has only played seven League games this campaign.
