PSL transfer news: Stars and Sundowns make peace over Gumede approach

Posted: 9 January 2015 Time: 11:37

Platinum Stars and Mamelodi Sundowns have smoked the peace-pipe after allegations that the Brazilians had illegally approached Tshepo Gumede.

Dikwena chairman Ratanang Nke told this website on Wednesday that they would be taking Mamelodi Sundowns to the PSL DRC for illegally approaching the player.

However, Nke now tells KickOff.com that, after a meeting with Downs officials, everything has been smoothed out.

“We have resolved the issue amicably following a meeting between myself and [Sundowns acting general manager] Yogesh Singh and Sizwe Nzimande,” Nke says.

“The parties agreed that in conducting their respective business they should bear in mind the relationship between stakeholders, The Royal Bafokeng Nation and the Motsepe family.”

Stars have since put Gumede up for sale after failing to agree a new contract with the player.
