Rodney Ramagalela staying at Mamelodi Sundowns

Posted: 8 January 2015 Time: 12:19

Mamelodi Sundowns will hold onto striker Rodney Ramagalela, despite him having barely featured for the Brazilians since his arrival.

The 25-year-old joined from Black Leopards at the start of 2013/14, but managed only four starts in his first season. This campaign has been even worse, with the former Under-23 international making just two substitute appearances in the Absa Premiership.

However, Sundowns insist he has a role to play going forward.”

“Sundowns don’t want him to go; they say he is in their plans for the CAF Champions League campaign. We can’t fight that, so hopefully Rodney sees some game-time in 2015," Mike Makaab of ProSport International tells KickOff.com.

Sundowns start their CAF Champions League campaign against St Michel from the Seychelles on 13 February.
