Polokwane City defender Vukile Mngqibisa wants a move away from the club in the January transfer window.
Mgqibisi's contract with Rise and Shine expires in June, but the 27-year-old wants to leave Limpopo as soon as possible as coach Kosta Papic has indicated he not part of his plans for the reminder of the season.
Mngqibisi's manager Mandla Mthembu from NG Sports has revealed his client’s desire to leave City during the current transfer window period.
“On Vukile’s future, I can confirm that we wrote to his club (Polokwane City) towards the end of last year and informed them of his decision that he is not prepared to commit beyond the end of his running contract which terminates at the end of season,” Mthembu tells Kickoff.com.
“As to whether he moves on during this window, that’s entirely up to them (Polokwane) as he is still contracted to the Club.
“As his manager, I hope they (Polokwane) allow him to move now because the head coach has already made it clear to him that he has been instructed not to utilise him because he did not want to sign a new contract with the club.
“He also did not receive a bonus for winning the Q2 and I believe all the other players got theirs just before Christmas. Having said that, he is committed to the club until the last day as per the contract,” concluded Mthembu.
Mngqibisi has been linked with move to Moroka Swallows and Free State Stars.
