Issa Sarr assures Orlando Pirates will bounce back

Posted: 22 December 2014 Time: 17:58

Orlando Pirates midfielder Issa Sarr says he is not pleased with where his side are currently positioned on the Absa Premiership log, but has promised Bucs supporters that the team will bounce back in the next round.

Sarr joined Pirates at the beginning of the season from Platinum stars and has made 22 appearances in all competitions, while contributing two goals.

"Obviously I am not too happy with our log position going into the break, but we will bounce back," he tells

"We needed this break after everything that happened [referring to the passing of Senzo Meyiwa and departure of coach Vladimir Vermezovic]," he adds.

Sarr will be heading back home to Senegal to spend the midseason break with his family, and has wished ‘The Ghost’ a blessed Christmas.

"I thank all our fans for their support and wish them all joyful moments with their respective families."

Pirates will return to action on 11th February when they are scheduled to travel away to AmaZulu.
