Preview: Black Aces midfielder Abia Nale hopes to edge former club Kaizer Chiefs

Posted: 19 December 2014 Time: 23:09

Mpumalanga Black Aces midfielder Abia Nale insists his blood “is now blue” as he prepares to face former club Kaizer Chiefs in their PSL encounter on Saturday.

Nale spent four years with Amakhosi, notching up 95 caps for the Glamour Boys, yet after making his loan move permanent at the start of the season, the 28-year-old insists he is now fully dedicated to his new club as his side look to end 2014 on a high.

"We want to close the year on a high and playing Chiefs is always a great experience for both us players and the fans,” Nale told his club’s official website.

“I’ve got fond memories of my stay at Chiefs but now my blood is blue and our aim is to get something out of the game.”

The numbers

Kaizer Chiefs head into this encounter at the summit of the PSL standings and are yet to taste defeat this season. They recorded their 13th victory of the season with a 2-1 win over Free State Stars midweek.

The win left Stuart Baxter’s men 13 points ahead of second-placed Bidvest Wits, as they claimed their 21st point from a possible 27 in their nine home matches thus far this campaign.

Mpumalanga Black Aces, meanwhile, suffered their third defeat of the season as they were beaten 2-0 at home by Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday evening.

AmaZayoni are however unbeaten on their travels thus far, with three wins and four draws from their seven away matches.

Clive Barker’s men sit in eighth place on the PSL table, 22 points adrift of their Soweto rivals.

In head-to-head statistics, the two sides have met on 31 occasions in the League since 1985, with Chiefs winning 21 of those encounters compared to Aces’ five, with five draws.

The two clubs met earlier in the season, where goals from Mandla Masango and Reneilwe Letsholonyane secured a 2-1 victory for Amakhosi.

If he is "disdiscarded" does it mean he is not discarded? If so I agree \U0001f44d

Majority of Zebra fans appreciate the contribution made by Nkhatha, so as the football world. And there are some few idiots who just hate him, those are the boo brigades. I don't usually call people stupid but now it has been confirmed that those people are just stupid.

Nale what a player but i fear Ndoro more..anyway the unit play shown by Chiefs this season i'm totally fearless the are players who are weak in Chiefs squad but because Chiefs play as a unit its hard for oppositions to notice the weakness hence when Chiefs play its not easy to choose man of the match..and for me all games we played i could choose Masilela as man of the match but people who chooses they want him to score 1st i think..he's my player of the season...so Nale locksmith will deal with you..DONE"

Morning sir

I want u to understand one or two things

Not everyone who critisize his players is a boo boy

I'll never boo a player, including calling a fellow blogger a stupit

Majority of chiefs supporters knows that nkatha wins the ball and give it back to the opposition , he's can't control the ball most of the time

Booing is out of order but people have a right to critisize . Nkatha misses clear cut chances every game since last season. Remember the miss against clowns last season ?

We need him to finish atleast 50% of those chances qha.

Let's go incourage our boys today, phansi nge booing of our players
