Kgotso Moleko signs new two-year deal with Kaizer Chiefs

Posted: 15 December 2014 Time: 18:30

KickOff.com can confirm that Kaizer Chiefs defender Kgotso Moleko has signed a new two-year deal with the club.

The right-back arrived at Naturena from Bloemfontein Celtic in 2012 and despite his limited game time over the past couple of years, the club believes the 25-year-old still has a role to play for the club in future hence the new deal.

According to the player’s agent Tim Sukazi the new deal runs until June 2017.

Moleko has made 16 starts since he arrived at Chiefs, including two this season.

I would like to see you play more games at least 7 consecutive games so that you have match fitness. But I hope when you come back from injury you'll fight for more games. You have a talent & skills like Jimmy Tau also work hard on your defensive side. #KC inspire greatness

If I have to faulter Baxter on one thing, it has to be not giving this boy a chance. I personally believe he's twice the player Gaxa is, both offensively and defensively... but that's just my opinion

Something to refresh our minds Makhosi after the long day.

Simon Rix, the bassist of successful English band, Kaiser Chiefs, has explained how Lucas Radebe’s Leeds United connection helped them choose their band name.

See the current PSL table here

The musicians, who are all big Leeds fans, chose the name Kaiser Chiefs after it was brought up in conversation and they remembered that their club’s captain, Radebe, had made the move from Kaizer Chiefs in South Africa.

After performing at FNB Stadium this past weekend, the bassist told the Siya crew of how the name came about by saying, “We sort of nicked it! But in the nicest possible way… We used to be called Parva, but for some reason nobody could spell it or pronounce it, so when we started a new band we wanted a strong, powerful name.

“Somebody spotted the name Kaizer Chiefs and me and Whitey (Andrew White), who are big Leeds United fans, were like 'That’s where Lucas is from'. We really liked the connection with Leeds and it’s a really powerful name, so we thought it was sort of like fate.

“We started performing and then one day got a call from Leeds United and they told us that Lucas wanted to meet us. We went to the stadium, met Lucas and got on really well with him. We asked him if he thought it’d be ok if we used the name and he said, 'Nah, it’s fine. I’ll talk to someone'.

When asked whether the ‘s’ instead of the ‘z’ was for copyright reasons Rix laughed as he replied, “We just spelt it wrong! That wasn’t a clever manoeuvre from us!”

As for his message to Stuart Baxter and the Amakhosi players, the musician said, “I think they’re doing a great job as it is! I follow them from England, and I know they’ve had some good seasons since they formed but they’re really flying this season. I just hope they can keep it up.”

Chiefs have killed his career, they got him while he was around 22-23 years old benched through 25-26 years old yoh, when he becomes the regular he will be 28-29 years old.

The situation: Moleko is not handsomely paid. It does not take a genius to figure that out. But he is not getting any younger. Its kind of a concern when a player glamourously drown in poverty while everyone things he is well off. Think Jabu Pule.

And bafethu, hunger there has reigned supreme unexposed since the days of aboTsiki Tsiki Mooki. That boy was red hot to be as broke as this. Its heart breaking and no one really cares. All those medals are doing nothing now.

And I saw Josta Dladla on the bench. You thought, SN10 (thats right, no one knows what the fu** is that but we're told its Siyabonga Nkosi [jersey number] 10) being banned for growing nails on the bench that are longer than Kim Kardashian's was a big thing? Josta. This boy played overseas and stacked foreign paper at a tender age. He came to sundowns and stacked even more paper. We handed him to Chiefs at the peak of his career. Now look at him now. What the fu** happenned to Josta, zebraz? He looked like he is R. Mashesha of big nuz. He is so broke that he appears as if he is sick. We know its not those drugs, lol.

Dear Kaizer Chiefs supporters

I find it very disturbing that a minority of fans will be allowed to destroy our team by booing our own players.

This is really not productive and will surely disturb the moral of our players and will make the make more mistakes due to panicking in fear of being booed.

What more, we want good players to join our team but what motivates a player to join a team full of hooligans? I guess none, I rather play for Sundowns with few fans who don't boo their own and enjoy money.

Kaizer Chiefs is a brand but this brand is being tarnished by people who wear our regalia and sing our songs but behave like our opponents.

I really do not see the difference between them and opponents because their goal seems to be one that of destroying the team.

When Chiefs were not winning it was painful and I could not enjoy wearing my team jersey, but now I can wear it with pride thanks to Baxter and his team.

For me I really do not care who scores as long as we win I am happy. Imagine if we were to field other strikers who might score goals but fail to play the role Nkatha plays then we might start losing games just like Pirates whose strikers are scoring better than Nkatha but Pirates is 18 points adrift of Chiefs.

Guys rather stay at home and not go to the stadia if your main aim is to destroy our team. This is becoming boring now. If Nkatha was useless Baxter would have long benched him.

I am beginning to suspect that our opponents are attending our games to boo Nkatha so that Baxter leaves and Chiefs becomes ordinary like the days of our previous coaches where it took us 7 years to win the league.

Let us not allow these people who disguise as our supporters when in reality they have a hidden agenda.

We need to deal with these people decisively else when we will be down and out, the they will go and join their real teams. Trust me these are not Kaizer Chiefs fans but our opponents disguised as us. Some even comment in various blogs like kickoff, soccerladuma etc branded as Khosis.

Operation 'Stop booing our players'

I'm a true Kaizer Chiefs supporter and pledge never to boo my players.

I m sure you know more other players from your team who are in an even worse situation but u decide to chose Chiefs because u are hurting since on the field of play no one can match them.

Keep trying
