Polokwane City defender Vukile Mngqibisa won’t be staying on at ‘Rise and Shine’

Posted: 8 December 2014 Time: 19:52

Polokwane City defender Vukile Mngqibisa has turned down the club’s offer to renew his contract beyond next season.

Mngqibisi's contract with City is set to expire in June next year. According to a source close to ‘Rise and Shine’, the player was offered a much-improved offer but indicated that he was no longer interested in staying in Polokwane, preferring to further his soccer career elsewhere next season.

"The club met with the player,” the source revealed. "However, his management team has indicated that the player is not interested in renewing his contract with the club beyond the current season.”

Mngqibisa, who has featured in 10 matches for his club thus far this season, has been linked to the University of Pretoria and Moroka Swallows in the past.
